Pillsbury advised Marlinspike, a veteran-led venture capital fund, in connection with its participation as one of several investors in the $51 million Series A funding round for BrightAI, a company developing AI-powered technologies to enhance the efficiency and resilience of critical infrastructure.

Marlinspike invests in “dual-use” technologies that solve national security challenges and create innovative commercial applications. As multi-stage investor investing in advanced technologies, the company focuses on four core industries: artificial intelligence and data analytics, autonomy and robotics, aerospace and cybersecurity.

Proceeds from the funding round are expected to help BrightAI expand deployment of its “physical AI” solutions across essential services, such as power, water, clean air and public safety, to proactively strengthen critical systems before vulnerabilities turn into crises.
