Pillsbury has once again been honored as a 2017 “Top Company for Executive Women” by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). The firm is one of only 60 for-profit companies to be included on the list. Every year, NAFE recognizes companies and organizations that promote the advancement of women through organizational programs and policies and that train managers to help women advance. Winning companies are chosen through an application process that includes more than 200 questions regarding female representation at all levels within the organization, with an emphasis on profit-for-loss leadership and corporate officer ranks.

Additionally, litigation senior counsel Fusae Nara will participate in the 2017 NAFE Roundtable, which will “tackle issues related to [members’] personal leadership and that of the women who work with and for them.” The Roundtable and a luncheon honoring 2017’s top companies will take place at a gala on March 9 in New York.

“Pillsbury is honored to be chosen as a Top Company for Executive women,” Nara said. “An important part of our culture is our commitment to the professional development of women at all levels within the firm. It’s exciting to be acknowledged for that commitment and recognized for the advancement of women employees to firm-wide leadership positions and partnerships.”

Pillsbury also was named one of Working Mother’s 100 Best Companies in 2016, the firm’s 11th year on the list, and regularly obtains a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.

Founded in 1972, NAFE is one of the most expansive associations for female business owners and professionals in the United States, serving more than 20,000 members nationwide. The association provides resources, such as networking tools and solutions, that empower women to exceed in their careers and achieve personal success. NAFE is a division of Working Mother Media, a Bonnier Corporation company.
