Amanda Halter, managing partner of Pillsbury’s Houston office, Ed Cavazos, managing partner of the Austin office, and Houston-based Real Estate partner Adam Weaver, have been named finalists in Texas Lawyer’s 2025 Texas Legal Awards. The awards are a respected honor in the state’s legal community, spotlighting leadership, innovation and meaningful contributions across the profession.

Halter and Cavazos are finalists in the Managing Parter of the Year category, while Weaver is a finalist for Real Estate Attorney of the Year.

The Texas Legal Awards recognize attorneys and law firms making a lasting impact on the legal profession statewide. Submissions are evaluated based on detailed metrics, measurable outcomes and demonstrated innovation, with a strong emphasis on diversity across geography, background and firm type. Finalists are selected through a rigorous review process led by senior editorial leaders and, in certain categories, supported by external experts.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on September 25 at the Arts District Mansion in Dallas.
