Pillsbury is a title sponsor of the 2020 Women on Boards 2014 National Conversation on Board Diversity, which will take place Nov. 20 in cities throughout the U.S. and internationally. The event will involve sessions led by C-level and senior executives to discuss what measures are needed for the U.S. to become a global leader in the advancement of women to company boards.

2020 Women on Boards is a national grassroots campaign established in 2010 in an effort to raise the percentage of women on U.S. company boards to 20 percent or more by the year 2020. The organization works to engage and motivate stakeholders—from consumers to employees to company shareholders—to communicate to corporate America that placing women in positions of leadership is good for business. These efforts include educating the public about the low numbers of women on corporate boards today and explaining the value of having women on boards.

The National Conversation on Board Diversity is designed to continue this discourse on the need for greater gender diversity on corporate boards, to promote the work being done to increase that diversity and to raise funds for the 2020 Women on Boards national campaign. This year’s event will take place at locations in more than 15 cities, from Los Angeles and San Diego to New York and Madrid.
