Pillsbury was named among only five other law firms as a Top Firm for Inclusion Initiatives by Yale Law Women for 2020.

“Diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of our firm’s leadership,” said Rosa Walker, the Senior Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Pillsbury. “As our inclusion efforts continue to be recognized, we intentionally aim to promote and support everyone at the firm and proudly celebrate the diversity of our attorneys who lead the firm’s practices, offices and committees.”

Yale Law Women’s latest report on top law firms for gender and family friendliness developed its lists from a survey sent to all law firms listed in the 2020 Vault 100 and from alumni working at those firms. More than half of the law firms participated in the survey, which reflected data at U.S. offices.

Pillsbury brings innovation to more than just its legal work. That same pioneering vision directs the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives. Among the first major law firms to promote women to partnership and the first large, national firm in the U.S. to elect a woman as Firm Chair. Today, diversity and inclusion are widespread in firm leadership; attorneys of color, women attorneys and LGBTQ+ attorneys lead our practices and offices and serve on influential firm committees. Year after year, Pillsbury’s inclusion efforts are recognized by Vault.com, the National Association of Female Executives and the Human Rights Campaign, among other organizations, and the firm has been named to Working Mother’s Best Law Firm for Women for 12 consecutive years, which earned us Hall of Fame recognition.
