Pillsbury partners Rafi Azim-Khan and Deborah Ruff have been recognized by The Legal 500 UK as members of the legal directory’s 2022 Hall of Fame class, the top ranking allotted to individual lawyers.

To be considered, an individual must have been recognized by The Legal 500 as an “elite leading lawyer" for at least eight consecutive years. The Hall of Fame accreditation indicates those at the “pinnacle of the profession” according to The Legal 500, which reserves the honor for those "who have received constant praise by their clients for continued excellence.”

Azim-Khan leads Pillsbury’s Data Privacy & Cybersecurity practice in Europe and the global Marketing Law team. Listed as a leader in the e-commerce, data and IP/IT spaces since the dot com boom, Rafi has lectured with “Father of the Internet” Vint Cerf and Data Commissioners and has authored/co-authored five books including Regulation of the Internet, Ad Law and E-Business. He advises on GDPR, CCPA, LGPD and international data issues, as well as global new market entry, including the launch and marketing of new products/services (dealing with claims, competitors and regulators).

Ruff leads Pillsbury’s firmwide International Arbitration practice. One of only 12 experts in commercial arbitration according to Women in Business Law, Ruff has extensive experience in multi-jurisdiction disputes, with a focus on high-value and complex international arbitration in the energy, infrastructure and construction, telecommunications and financial sectors.
