Insurance Recovery & Advisory senior associate Tamara Bruno, who is based in Pillsbury’s Houston office, has been named to a council position for the Insurance Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
The Insurance Law Section is an official, sanctioned section of the State Bar of Texas with more than 2,000 members. The Section is governed by 14 council members elected from the section membership for two-year terms and various officers elected by the council. Among other things, the Section publishes the Journal of Texas Insurance Law, updates members regularly on recent insurance decisions in Texas state and federal courts and provides CLE courses on insurance law across the state.
“I am honored and excited to serve the members of the Insurance Law Section, and any other Texas attorneys with an interest in insurance law,” Bruno said. “The Section is an active and important resource for practitioners in Texas. I look forward to helping promote it, particularly to new members.”
Bruno’s demonstrated leadership ability includes founding the NYU Alumni Club – Houston, organizing events for the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and working on planning the 20th Annual University of Texas Insurance Law Institute.
