Former Presiding Justice of the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division, First Department and Litigation partner Rolando Acosta and Former Associate Justice of the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division, First Department David Saxe* recently co-authored an article offering suggestions to improve the operation and jurisdiction of the Appellate Division, First Department.
The article, which was published by the New York Law Journal, urges the United Court System’s leadership team to embrace more efficient ways of carrying out rulings. Acosta and Saxe focus on three main points including expediting family court appeals, taking up certified questions of law from the Appellate Division and expanding the Appellate Division’s authority in Article 78 proceedings.
