The American Lawyer has named Houston-based Insurance Recovery & Dispute counsel Tamara Bruno to its new Young Lawyer editorial board. According to the publication, Bruno joins a diverse group of attorneys from around the world who “bring a voice to the profession’s younger generation on a range of important issues.”

Chosen from a large number of nominations, the new board members are “truly representative of the up-and-coming leaders of the profession,” The American Lawyer noted. The goal of this board is to serve as a voice for the next generation of legal professionals. Members of the board will write editorials on such topics as how to build a book of business or sexual harassment in the legal industry and how to combat it.

Bruno represents companies and institutional policyholders in complex insurance matters. She advises insureds on their insurance programs and represents insureds in disputed insurance claims, whether through negotiation, alternative dispute resolution or litigation. She has served on the Council for the Texas State Insurance Law Section. In 2017, Law360 recognized her as one of five rising stars under the age of 40 in insurance in the U.S.
