A Pillsbury team in San Diego represented estate planning platform Trust & Will in its $6 million Series A financing round. The funding round was led by Link Ventures LLC with participation from existing investors such as Revolution LLC’s seed fund, Westech Investment Advisors LLC, Halogen Ventures, Luma Launch LLC, Techstars Ventures and others. With this round, Trust & Will reported that its total funding since launching is $8 million.

The San Diego-based Trust & Will said it expects to use the funding to expand its sales and marketing efforts as well as accelerate its product development. Part of the investment is expected to be used to develop new products that the company plans to launch in early 2020.

Trust & Will’s online service platform provides legal forms and information such as a trust-based estate plan, will-based estate plan and guardian plans. The company said it completed the first electronic will in the U.S. earlier in 2019. Since launching in April 2018, the company reported that more than 60,000 customers have signed up for its platform.
