Pillsbury Public Policy senior counsel Yvette Puckett Cravins will be inducted in April into the Southern University Law Center’s (SULC) 2022 Alumni Hall of Fame. Along with other illustrious alums, her photo will be unveiled at the school’s Hall of Fame Gala at 7 p.m. on April 9th at the Ballroom of the Renaissance Hotel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Cravins graduated from SULC in 1996. She began her career as a Louisiana Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division and in Louisiana’s Department of Insurance. She subsequently broadened her appellate legal experience as a staff attorney for the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal. In 2009, Yvette joined the U.S. House of Representatives Oversight & Government Reform Committee as Counsel. In 2015, Yvette was elevated to senior policy advisor and Chief of Staff to former Missouri Congressman, and now Pillsbury senior policy advisor, the Hon. William Lacy Clay. In that role, she served as his liaison to two presidential administrations and several federal agencies, helping Congressman Clay achieve key bipartisan legislative victories. Cravins joined Pillsbury in May 2021. She advises clients before the Biden Administration and Congress on government investigations, health equity, financial services, best practices for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), telecommunications and other key issues.
