Chad Hammerlind focuses his practice on patent counseling, prosecution and litigation. 

Chad has experience helping clients file and obtain hundreds of patents, including obtaining more than 120 patents in 2020 alone. He also provides clients with focused offensive and defensive analyses of intellectual property positions. His primary practice includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications relating to medical devices, electrical systems, telecommunication systems, information technology systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)/drones, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, artificial intelligence/machine learning, geophysical surveying systems, augmented reality systems, blockchain technology, autonomous vehicles, fintech, animation, and software.

Early in his career, Chad served as a lead IP attorney at IBM. Chad also worked as an engineer in the medical physics and radiation oncology field at BrainLAB, leading installations and commissioning of radiation treatment systems, patient positioning systems, radiation collimators and cancer treatment planning software.
