Chris Albrecht has extensive experience addressing the complexities of California alcohol beverage laws and regulations. He is not an attorney.

Chris has over three decades of experience in the public sector, including 24 years with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). Prior to joining Pillsbury, Chris served as the ABC’s Assistant Director for Northern California where he was involved with every aspect of ABC law including licensing, trade practices, enforcement, legislation and the fiscal management of statewide programs.

Representative Experience

  • As a member of the ABC’s executive staff, participated in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Department’s policies in all program areas, including trade practices.
  • Served as the Department’s primary liaison to the state legislature and industry stakeholders including preparing analysis on proposed legislation and testifying before legislative committees.
