Christian Buerger, a Pillsbury partner and Washington, DC, Real Estate practice leader, is skilled in closing complex real estate transactions across the U.S.
Christian advises a broad range of clients on leasing arrangements, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financing and REITs. He represents both landlords and tenants in lease transactions involving office, retail and mixed-use facilities, and skillfully navigates the complexities of build-to-suit deals and sale-leaseback arrangements. Christian’s deep experience includes counseling institutional investors on transactions involving portfolios of large-scale properties, advising organizations outside the real estate industry on the purchase of headquarters sites and handling financing work.
Representative Experience
- Represented multiple national and regional developers in the leasing of their portfolios in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, including multiple anchor leases to professional service firms.
- Advised a national media company in the assembly, sale and leaseback of its former headquarters and its acquisition of a new headquarters property.
- Represented a public REIT in the acquisition and development of a mixed-use project, including the negotiation of a $150 million construction loan.
