Dustin Chase-Woods focuses his practice on general and complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on disputes between buyers and sellers arising from mergers, asset sales, and service agreements.
A litigator’s litigator, Dustin takes a keen interest in understanding his clients’ specific needs and tailors his legal strategy accordingly. No two clients are alike.
Dustin represents clients in all stages of litigation, from early phases of case assessment and discovery through the final resolution of the dispute.
Representative Experience
- Second-chaired an arbitration to final award on behalf of an acclaimed wine industry brand entrepreneur in a complex contract and incentive fee dispute against a brand buyer.
- Represented a multinational healthcare and electronics manufacturer regarding medical device clinical trials at the heart of a milestone fee dispute with selling shareholders.
- Defended a private equity investment firm in a dispute with a former placement agent.

- Prosecuted an arbitration to final award on behalf of a global financial services company in an incentive fee dispute arising from a hotel management agreement.

Pro Bono
- In his pro bono practice, Dustin has brought tort claims against the United States on behalf of family members traumatized by the government’s family separation border policy.
- Dustin’s pro bono practice also includes criminal record expungement and the representation of residential tenants in disputes with their landlords.
- Before bar admission, Dustin worked with Philadelphia Legal Aid and local health clinics to provide legal assistance to Philadelphians on issues including SSI/SSD, Unemployment, Protection from Abuse, landlord/tenant, insurance, and immigration.
- Dustin interned at the California Attorney General’s Office while in law school.
