Jeong is a member of Pillsbury’s Corporate Group in Los Angeles, where he advises public and private clients on a variety of corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments.

Jeong regularly handles cross-border transactions, including representing many Japanese and Korean companies in their U.S. acquisitions, divestitures and investments. In addition, Jeong advises companies with respect to commercial transactions and corporate governance. His practice spans various industries, with a focus on technology, manufacturing, professional services and energy.

Prior to joining Pillsbury, Jeong was a corporate and real estate associate at a national law firm and in-house counsel at a multinational consumer electronics corporation in Seoul, Korea.

  • Represented Perpetual Capital in its acquisition of In-Shape Solutions.
  • Represented the NYC Public Pension Funds, Missouri Education Pension Trust and other large institutional investors in connection with investments in private equity funds.
  • Represented CalPERS in the largest secondary sale transaction ever, which was a divestiture of $6 billion in private equity stakes from the fund’s $50 billion private equity portfolio.

  • Advised Nomura Research Institute, one of Japan’s leading research and consulting firms, in its purchase of Core BTS from Tailwind Capital.
  • Represented JSR Corporation, a multinational company headquartered in Tokyo, in its agreement to acquire Inpria Corporation, for $514 million.
  • Represented Cyberdyne in its partnership with RISE Physical Therapy to create the RISE Healthcare Group, a group of physical therapy practices and outpatient rehabilitation clinics throughout Southern California that can now offer Cyberdyne’s Hybrid Assistive Limb (HAL) technology to its patients.
  • Represented Synaptech in its sale to LMI, a portfolio company of Capital Meridian Partners.
  • Represented behavioral health services provider People’s Care Holdings, Inc. in its sale to a private equity group.
