Lisseth Ochoa-Chavarria focuses her practice on a broad range of complex business and commercial litigation, including contract disputes, insurance recovery, product liability and employment disputes.

Lisseth has experience handling all aspects of discovery, preparing and arguing motions, taking depositions, and preparing cases for trial.  She also has an active pro bono practice, including work with Human Rights First.

During law school, Lisseth worked as the managing editor for publication on the UVA Journal of Law and Politics and served as a judicial extern to Justice Sandy R. Kreigler in the California 2nd District Court of Appeal.

Representative Experience

  • Successfully obtained a seven-figure recovery from an insurance company stemming from breach of contract and bad faith claims.
  • Successfully litigated and settled various declaratory relief product liability actions filed across the country.
  • Successfully obtained the dismissal of a class action brought under the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the California Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
  • Negotiated the favorable settlement of a government investigation into potential violations of California’s Automatic Renewal Law.
