Michael Grosso focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property, with a primary concentration on patent prosecution and litigation.

Michael has experience with patent prosecution and patent portfolio management, including patent application preparation, freedom to operate (FTO) analyses, joint development agreements and post-grant proceedings. He has worked with clients in various technology fields, including automotive, battery management, medical device, power transmission, metallurgy and sonar. Michael advises clients with issues of patentability and provides patent/trademark litigation support.

Prior to entering the legal field, Michael worked as a mechanical design engineer for an aerospace and defense technology company. Drawing on his mechanical engineering background, Michael was responsible for electrical and mechanical hardware design solutions for F-22 Raptor maintenance training simulators. He is a licensed professional engineer through the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Michael is also a Federal Aviation Administration-certified airframe and powerplant mechanic.
