Patrick Fitzmaurice is a trusted advisor who counsels clients concerning complex bankruptcy and litigation matters.

Patrick’s practice focuses on litigation in domestic and cross-border insolvency matters in which  he regularly represents clients in fraudulent transfer and other types of avoidance litigation. Patrick is also frequently involved in advising creditors in foreclosure and other types of enforcement actions involving real estate and UCC collateral.

Patrick also regularly represents insolvency office holders in asset recovery investigation and enforcement matters.

Representative Experience

  • Advised a multinational company concerning numerous large asset transfers and various related litigations in the United States, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
  • Representing the joint official liquidators or two affiliated Cayman Islands funds in Chapter 15 proceedings and various related asset recovery matters, including a significant avoidance action against the funds’ former investment advisor and others.
  • Served as counsel to a London-based specialty finance company in loan workout and recovery actions and related litigation and bankruptcy matters.
