As lead counsel, Paul has tried to conclusion numerous high-stakes business disputes. He has prevailed on behalf of clients in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and at the state Supreme Court level. Paul represents clients ranging from government agencies to Fortune 100 companies across a wide range of industries, including technology, aviation, real estate, energy, sports and entertainment.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a health care district in the 2021 trial of a high-profile case in which the plaintiff claimed $9.1 million in lost rental income damages as a result of a multi-year dispossession from a 60,000 square foot office building, achieving a complete defense verdict and a judgment in favor of the health care district for more than $4 million.
  • Successfully briefed, argued and prevailed in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, achieving dismissal of 8-figure claims against a government agency in November 2017. SilverWing at Sandpoint, LLC v. Bonner Cty., 2017 U.S. App. LEXIS 21970 (9th Cir. 2017).
  • Represented a leading aircraft maintenance company in state, federal and Part 16 actions over an airport hangar lease dispute, resulting in a complete victory for the client on summary judgment and an award of more than $1.4 million in attorney’s fees.
