Walter Scott represents entrepreneurs, startups and mature companies in a broad spectrum of matters, including by serving as outside general counsel.

Walter advises clients regarding corporate governance, securities and venture capital, commercial and government contracts and related disputes, technology transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.

In addition to private practice with Pillsbury, he has served as counsel and general counsel in corporate legal departments of several startups and Fortune 100 companies operating in diverse industries, including aerospace, defense, manufacturing, ad tech, SaaS and professional services.

Previously, Walter served on active duty in the U.S. Navy for seven years, including five years as a SEAL at SEAL Team THREE in Coronado, California, completing deployments to East Asia and the Middle East.
