Adam Weaver, a Real Estate partner in Pillsbury’s Houston office, was named the Real Estate Attorney of the Year by Texas Lawyer at the 2025 Texas Legal Awards, recognizing his exceptional work on high-impact, complex real estate transactions throughout Texas.

This prestigious honor reflects Weaver’s leadership, legal innovation and influential contributions to the state’s real estate legal landscape. The Texas Legal Awards celebrate attorneys and law firms making a lasting impact on the legal profession across the state.

Widely regarded as one of Texas’ top transactional lawyers, Weaver advises institutional investors, real estate funds and leading companies in the energy and technology sectors on transformative, high-value deals across jurisdictions and asset classes.

In 2024, Weaver delivered a standout year marked by complex, innovative work for clients ranging from institutional investors to real estate funds and energy and technology companies. Some notable matters included his role in representing Shorenstein in all aspects of its ongoing development in Austin’s Mueller District, including the $130 million sale of the Bravo Building to the Teachers Retirement System of Texas; serving as lead counsel to Nimes Capital on multiple acquisitions and dispositions totaling hundreds of millions of dollars; and advising Trina Solar on a long-term lease with an option to purchase for a solar panel manufacturing plant near Dallas, including providing counsel on real estate, construction and government incentives for a buildout valued at more than $200 million.

Most notably, Weaver played a key role in Hyundai Steel’s $5.8 billion agreement to construct an advanced steel plant in Louisiana—a cornerstone of the South Korean industrial conglomerate’s planned $21 billion investment in the United States, announced in early 2025.
