Business Journal Names Ed Perron and Gerry Hinkley Leaders in Law

Perron, who was named the International Firm Attorney of the Year, was cited for his work as Managing Partner of Pillsbury’s global platform. In addition, the Business Journal noted his work representing clients in mergers, acquisitions, divestures, joint ventures, strategic investments and the distribution of products in the U.S.

As Managing Partner, the Business Journal reported that Perron has been leading the development of a more integrated, comprehensive international referral platform and database. The platform will assist Pillsbury and its clients in identifying preferred, vetted outside counsel throughout the world that have existing, trusting relationships with Pillsbury. The platform will enhance the firm’s cross-border capabilities for clients, the Business Journal added.

Hinkley, the leader of Pillsbury’s Health Care Industry team, was named the “Health Care Firm Attorney of the Year.” In addition to leading the group, he counsels hospitals and physician organizations on the management of legal affairs, governance, regulatory compliance, reimbursement, capital finance, joint ventures and clinic development. A leader in the health IT field, he has extensive experience in procurement, licensing, service arrangements and dispute resolution, according to the Business Journal.

As leader of the industry group, Hinkley has spearheaded efforts to bring together all of the multidisciplinary practices into a target health care team. Among his marquee Southern California clients, Hinkley represents Dignity Health and the Southern California Permanente Medical Group, which has 5,500 physicians supporting Kaiser Permanente in the region.
