Corporate partner Christina Pearson has recently been recognized as one of the 2022 Women Leaders in Tech Law by The Recorder’s California Legal Awards for the Corporate/Transactions category. Pearson was one of just 20 women in the U.S. to receive the honor in 2022. Additionally, she serves as the head of Pillsbury’s Silicon Valley Corporate & Securities – Technology group.

This prestigious award celebrates the achievements of women lawyers handling game-changing, law-shaping and market-moving work in and around the technology industry. The California Legal Awards focus on recent deal successes that have contributed to progress at technology-based companies and in the law.

Acknowledged by respected publications such as The Legal 500 U.S., M&A Advisor and Best Lawyers, Pearson represents companies in every stage of their life cycle, from startup to maturity, and counsels her clients through liquidity transactions, such as venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings.

Among the many accomplishments throughout her career, Pearson’s most significant transactions include leading a team of Pillsbury lawyers in representing long-time client, Inphi Corporation, in its 2020 acquisition by Marvell Technology Group Ltd. for $10 billion the third largest semiconductor deal at the time. She also served as a co-leader in SYNNEX Corp.’s $7.2 billion merger with Tech Data Corporation in 2021.

In a Q&A featuring Pearson, she commented, “I am so fortunate to work with an abundance of women. It isn’t unusual for me to work on an all-female deal team, yet I think it is a rare occurrence for so many others. Being able to commiserate with my colleagues during the pandemic about the challenges of working from home, trying to teach school to remote learners while holding down a full-time job, and struggling with childcare during a time when nobody wanted to leave their house, was invaluable.”
