Melissa Lesmes, leader of Pillsbury’s Construction Counseling & Dispute Resolution practice, and Lexie Pereira, Litigation associate, served as two of the three editors of the American Bar Association’s Construction Insurance, Second Edition, a practical guide that provides construction industry stakeholders with current legal analysis and real-world insight into risk transfer, insurance coverage, indemnity and performance security. The book, which is fully revised and updated, offers guidance for owners, contractors, developers, insurers and other industry professionals as it examines the evolving intersection of construction law and insurance in contracts, claims, and project delivery.

In addition to the firm’s editorial leadership, Construction partner James Bobotek, alongside Lesmes and Pereira, authored a chapter addressing insurance and risk transfer basics for construction projects, and Litigation partner Michael McNamara contributed a chapter focused on insurance coverage for construction delays.

Their involvement reflects the firm’s experience advising clients on complex construction and insurance-related matters.
