Pillsbury advised AT&T Inc., in its acquisition of Quickplay Media Inc., a supplier of over-the-top video and TV Everywhere services, from Madison Dearborn Partners. Pillsbury disclosed the details of its involvement in the deal closing on Aug. 3. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Madison Dearborn Partners is a Chicago-based private equity investment firm. Quickplay's platform will support a variety streaming services, including, DirectTv Now, DirectTv Mobile and DirectTv Preview, which AT&T plans to introduce later this year, according to a news release. These new plans will let viewers stream DirectTv content over the internet to different types of devices.

Corporate & Securities partner Nathaniel Cartmell led the Pillsbury team, which included partners Justin Hovey and Julie Divola along with Natasha Hanson Allen, an attorney. Associates Blair Markovic, Deborah Carrillo and Paul Casas also advised. Partner Mark Jones provided support along with associate Matthew Ryan. Counsel Ian Schick aided the effort.
