Paul Casas is a partner in Pillsbury’s Corporate practice.

Paul advises entrepreneurs, investors and startup companies across a variety of industries through all stages of their life cycle, including formation, seed and venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and fund formation. Paul also advises both strategic acquirers and target companies in their mergers and acquisitions, tender offers, joint ventures and other transactional matters. Prior to joining the Corporate practice, Paul was a member of Pillsbury's Tax practice.

  • Advised NTT DATA in its acquisition of Aspirent.
  • Advising AT&T in connection with various early-stage investments and mergers and acquisitions, most recently in acquisition and later sale of its Crunchyroll anime business to Funimation Global Group, LLC for $1.175 billion and in its acquisition and later sale of Quickplay Media Inc.
  • Advising Chevron Technology Ventures LLC in connection with various early-stage investments and joint ventures, including Boomitra, Infinitum Electric, QuintessenceLabs Pty. Ltd., Xage Security, Inc., Zap Energy Inc., RayGen Resources Pty. Ltd., Ocergy, Inc., Natel Energy, Inc. and Compact Membrane Systems, Inc.

  • Advised Xendit in its $300 million Series D funding round led by Coatue and Insight Partners.
  • Advised Eat Just Inc. in its initial $170 million fundraise to help expand its cell-based meat subsidiary GOOD Meat as well as in its $200 million fundraise to build capacity for its pioneering products.
  • Advised Accellion Inc. in its $120 million investment from Bregal Sagemount.
  • Advised FLASHPOINT in its launch as the world’s first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournament owned and operated by team organizations.
