Silicon Valley partner Riaz Karamali led a team advising MycoTechnology, a Colorado-based food technology company, in its $35 million Series B financing round.

Seed 2 Growth Ventures, a Chicago investor in sustainable food and agriculture companies, led the round with Bunge Ventures Ltd. and Emerson Collective as co-leads. Seventure Partners contributed to the round along with participating investors Middleland Capital, Tao Capital Partners, GreatPoint Ventures, Closed Loop Capital and Windy City LLC.

MycoTechnology develops mushroom-based products that help reduce sugar content in processed foods. The company plans to use part of the funds to build a commercial production facility in Aurora, Colorado, and to further develop its products.

Gabrielle Grinberg, an associate in Silicon Valley, worked with Karamali on the financing round.
