Washingtonian magazine has once again named Pillsbury Corporate partner Steve Kaplan to its Tech Titans list, which recognizes “the most important and innovative people in Washington’s digital economy.”

Kaplan, who works from Pillsbury’s DC and Tysons Corner offices, counsels clients throughout the business life cycle, from entity formation and early-stage capital raises through larger venture capital and growth financings and a variety of liquidity transactions, including sales, mergers and spinoffs, among others. In addition to being a “Tech Titan” himself, he represents numerous other titans on the list, including the founders of Contactually, UrbanStems, NextGen Venture Partners and many more. Kaplan also recently represented Parking Panda in its sale to SpotHero, Ataata in the sale of its cybersecurity training and awareness business to Mimecast, and SAP National Security Services in its acquisition of Apex Expert Solutions.

In 2017, Kaplan was honored as a Rising Star by the National Law Journal, and he is a regular speaker and author on legal issues and fundraising for startups at universities and events in the DC area.
