Pethealth GC Honored as "Tomorrow's Leader" by Canadian Lawyer InHouse

SAN DIEGO—Pillsbury is pleased to announce that Harpreet Sidhu, general counsel for firm client Pethealth Inc., has been honored as “Tomorrow’s Leader” in Canadian Lawyer InHouse’s second-annual Innovatio Awards. The award program honors in-house legal teams that embrace innovation and have improved the way they practice in a complex legal and corporate environment.

Sidhu earned her law degree from the University of Buckingham School of Law in England, and within two years she was named general counsel, corporate secretary and privacy officer at Pethealth Inc., a provider of pet insurance and microchipping services.

“Harpreet embraced the position and created the legal department,” following Pethealth’s acquisition in 2014, Intellectual Property partner and practice leader Callie Bjurstrom said. “She provides Pethealth’s new management team with practical solutions to legal and business problems in a thoughtful manner.”

Bjurstrom, based in San Diego, was one of three people who nominated Sidhu for the Tomorrow’s Leader award in the small-department category.
