Pillsbury advised Cori Clinical on its recent $4 million seed funding round, led by Breega, with participation from Enzo, Heartfelt, Together Ventures and Bynd.

Cori Clinical is an AI workspace that combines an organization’s accumulated clinical trial knowledge with external intelligence from clinical trial registries, regulatory guidance and public sources, including the Food and Drug Administration, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and the European Medicines Agency.

The funding will expand Cori’s delivery capacity, support team growth, including the appointment of Dr. Emma Ogburn as chief clinical officer, and enhance the platform’s regulatory and clinical intelligence. It will also help Cori build on customer traction and turn growing interest from clinical research organizations and pharmaceutical companies into broader, deeper commercial relationships.

This transaction also reflects Pillsbury’s growing emerging companies and venture capital practice, supporting ambitious businesses at the intersection of technology and life sciences. We look forward to seeing Cori build on its early customer traction as it expands its team and platform.”

In addition to Melaney, the Pillsbury deal team included senior associate Alex Davidson and associate Will Dunlop.
