Pillsbury legal teams are handling two technology M&A transactions announced in Silicon Valley on July 30.

The firm is representing chip maker Inphi Corp., of Santa Clara, in its acquisition of Sunnyvale-based Cortina Systems Inc. for $126 million in cash and stock. On the team are Silicon Valley partners Jorge del Calvo, Allison Leopold Tilley, Cindy Schlaefer, Brian Wainwright, David Jakopin and Davina Kaile, counsel Noelle Matteson, and associates Derek Chien and Keren Hu. Pitching in from San Francisco are partners Eric Save and Christine Richardson, as well as associate Marta Porwit. Sacramento senior counsel Thomas Makris is helping out on employment matters, and DC associate Anna Han is also contributing.

Pillsbury also represents San Jose-based network switching technology maker Xpliant Inc. in its sale to semiconductor maker Cavium Inc., located in San Jose. The cash and stock deal is valued at $90 million. Alumni senior counsel Yusuf Safdari lead the deal team, working with partner Thomas Chaffin and associates Michael Riccoboni and Ryan Delaney. Brian Wainwright, David Jaffer and Cindy Schlaefer are assisting with the transaction.
