Pillsbury partners Callie Bjurstrom and JiJi Park have been elected to serve on the firm’s Board of Directors, succeeding partners Jeffrey Delaney and Blair White. They join newly re-elected partners William Atkins and Josh Romanow as members of Pillsbury’s 12-member governing body.

“Congratulations to Callie and JiJi, who bring to the Board significant leadership experience and excellent working knowledge of the firm,” said firm chair Dave Dekker. “Their fresh perspectives will be instrumental as we work to build upon our substantial client offerings globally.”

Bjurstrom is an Intellectual Property partner in the firm’s San Diego office. A tenacious client advocate and former co-leader of the IP group, she has successfully tried cases to verdict as lead counsel in both state and federal courts, as well as representing clients before the International Trade Commission.

Park is a member of the firm’s Corporate practice and is based in Los Angeles. Her practice covers regulatory work for financial services clients—largely relating to payments, privacy and digital currencies issues—as well as traditional corporate transactions. She previously served as a member of the Nominating Committee, vice-chair of the Attorney Development Committee and co-leader of the firm’s Fintech, Payments & Blockchain focus team.

“I also want to extend a sincere thanks to Jeff and Blair for the valuable guidance they have provided over the past few years,” Dekker added. “They both played a critical role in improving our firm and we greatly appreciate their many contributions.”

Pillsbury has long championed the importance of empowering women as law firm leaders, with women presiding over numerous practices, industry teams, offices and internal committees at the firm. Women have accounted for nearly two-thirds of partner promotions in the past two years.
