New York startup investment has exceeded $17 billion over the past five years, with exponential growth in health care innovation. Reflective of New York’s place at the epicenter of Digital Health as well as Pillsbury’s established and expanding reputation as a leader in the rapidly accelerating space, the firm is set to serve as a founding sponsor of the inaugural Digital Health New York (DHNY) Summit. This first-of-its-kind conference will connect the New York healthtech community to share ideas, spark new directions and foster success across the sector.

The exclusive event—organized by premier healthcare ecosystem network NYC Health Business Leaders and the leading New York-based early-stage venture fund AlleyCorp, with principal support from founding partners Pillsbury and Deloitte—will take place on September 21, at The Peak in Hudson Yards. The program will bring together select members of the Digital Health community, including entrepreneurs, investors, C-suite executives from health systems, payors and pharmaceutical companies, and experts from government and academia. As the first of its kind in the thriving New York market, the conference is dedicated to creating a quintessentially New York connected community that shares ideas, sparks new directions and fosters success across the entire digital health industry.

“The growth of digital health in New York over the past decade has been nothing short of incredible,” said Bunny Ellerin, co-founder and CEO of DHNY. “In planning the DHNY Summit, we have been amazed and impressed by the energy and excitement from the community. This event represents a new movement – defined by the ideas, leaders and technologies that are truly transforming healthcare.”

In addition to Pillsbury being a founding sponsor of the conference, Emerging Growth & Venture Capital partner and Digital Health practice leader Ron Fleming will introduce a panel titled “How I Built a Billion Dollar Tech Company” featuring AlleyCorp Founder & CEO Kevin Ryan and Richard Park, MD, Managing Partner at Ascend Partners. Ellerin is set to moderate.
