WASHINGTON, DC—Pillsbury is proud to announce its role as a Gold Sponsor—and the only law firm sponsor—of the 2016 Million Women Mentors Summit. The conference is presented by Million Women Mentors (MWM) and STEMConnector, which have joined forces to increase the engagement and mentorship of women working in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The Summit kicks off with a reception at Washington DC’s Omni Shoreham hotel the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 4, where Pillsbury’s partner Jim Rishwain will deliver a keynote address. Conference programming will begin in full on Wednesday, Oct. 5 with a comprehensive schedule of sessions and networking opportunities designed to promote the development of STEM-focused mentoring strategies and programs at company- and state-wide levels.

During the Summit’s luncheon on Oct. 5, STEMConnector and MWM CEO Edie Fraser will announce the Pillsbury-sponsored release of Women’s Quick Facts Book: Compelling Data on Why Women Matter. A critical resource for organizations that prioritize diversity and inclusion, the book presents hundreds of compelling facts, figures and infographics about the extraordinary power that women wield in today’s economy. Pillsbury partner Deborah Baum, who leads the firm’s Litigation department, will deliver special remarks during the luncheon as well.

Other Summit speakers include such notable names as lawyer, journalist and author Greta Van Susteren; General Motors’ Chief Diversity Officer Ken Barrett; and Paul Wolfe, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Indeed. To learn more about the Summit and discover STEM mentorship; and engagement opportunities, visit the Million Women Mentors website.
