Westinghouse Electric Co.’s restructuring and $4.6 billion acquisition by Brookfield Business Partners L.P., has been named Private Equity Acquisition of the Year (above $1 billion) by the Global M&A Network’s 11th annual Turnaround Atlas Awards. A Pillsbury team advised Brookfield on critical regulatory and policy issues in the transaction, which has been honored with multiple deal of the year awards. The Turnaround Atlas awards recognize the best value-creating transactions, and outstanding firms, professionals and leaders from the international restructuring, investing, distressed M&A and turnaround communities.
