The US Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) aims to improve the legal environment for doing business in countries around the globe, thereby fostering greater political stability and economic opportunities. CLDP consultative services and programs assist regulatory, judicial, and commercial leaders to incorporate international best practices in their policies, laws, and organizational structures.

To improve the effectiveness of Morocco’s restructuring procedures, the Moroccan government is partnering with CLDP to conduct a two-day seminar to share best practices from the US bankruptcy system in managing restructuring procedures and developing bench books and to assess the challenges facing Moroccan judges in managing restructuring procedures.
