For the fifth consecutive year, The Recorder has named Pillsbury Corporate partner Allison Leopold Tilley among its top “Women Leaders in Tech Law.”

In the past year, Leopold Tilley has worked on a number of significant international transactions, including Concentrix's acquisition of The Minacs Group, which has operations in India, the Philippines and elsewhere, and InvenSense's sale to TDK Corp., a Japanese company.

In a Q&A with The Recorder, Tilley noted that the No. 1 thing that keeps her and her clients up at night is work.

“There is always something urgent to do, and the Valley and the tech industry move so fast you have to push hard to keep up,” she said.

She added this advice to young lawyers in tech:

“Enjoy it! Get to know your clients and their products. You'll learn about what's coming in the world before all your friends and have a great time doing it.”

Tilley represents startups, emerging growth entities, venture capital firms, entrepreneurs and multinational public companies with a wide range of corporate needs. As counsel to acquirers and target companies, she has closed billions of dollars in M&A deals for technology companies. She also advises on private placements, public offerings, venture funds and joint ventures, and in general corporate transactions.
