Kate Chan focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, emerging capital, restructuring, capital markets and ESG advisory across various jurisdictions in the U.S., EMEA and Asia.

Kate has experience advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, including cross-border M&A, private equity, venture fundraising, joint ventures, minority investment, corporate restructuring, debt and equity capital markets, listed company compliance and ESG advisory. She advises across a range of industry sectors including technology, energy and financial institutions. As a tri-qualified lawyer, she frequently advises on matters involving jurisdictions in the U.S., EMEA and Asia.

Prior to joining Pillsbury, Kate was an associate at the London and Hong Kong offices of international law firms.

  • Advised J.P. Morgan on its strategic investment in 50Five Group, a leading provider of electrical vehicles charging infrastructure in Benelux and the UK.
  • Advised Mubadala infrastructure fund in relation to the comprehensive equity and financial restructuring of, and its further equity investment in, a strategically important real estate asset in Abu Dhabi.
  • Advised the underwriters on $13.3 billion secondary offering by PNC of its stake in Blackrock.
