Stephanie Amaru is an attorney in the firm’s Environmental practice section and is based in the Los Angeles office.  She focuses her practice on environmental litigation and regulatory matters.

Stephanie has a breadth of experience litigating state and federal actions involving CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, Clean Water Act, Proposition 65, toxic tort, common law property contamination, civil enforcement, and commercial matters. Stephanie has counseled clients on regulatory compliance matters involving the Clean Water Act, TSCA, and other state and federal environmental regulations. Stephanie is also an accredited LEED Green Associate and has a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability.

Prior to joining Pillsbury, Stephanie worked at a science and technology policy think tank at Arizona State University, where she researched the relationship between institutional intervention and the use of science and technology in 50 cases of adaptation to extreme weather events and developed policy recommendations for future adaptation efforts. During law school, Stephanie served as a writing advisor to first year law students, an Associate Editor on the UCLA Law Review, and an Articles Editor on the UCLA Journal of Environmental Law and Policy.
