A team of Pillsbury lawyers represented computer networking company Barefoot Networks Inc. in its acquisition by Intel Corp. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Based in Santa Clara, Barefoot Networks specializes in Ethernet switch silicon and software. Intel stated that the acquisition will support its end-to-end cloud networking and infrastructure to deliver new workloads, experiences and capabilities for its data center customers. Specifically, Intel will absorb Barefoot Networks’ cloud network architectures expertise, switch silicon development, driver software, network telemetry and computation networking. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2019.

The Pillsbury team was led by Silicon Valley Corporate partners Allison Leopold Tilley and Gurpreet Bal. They were joined by Cindy Schlaefer, David Jakopin, Thomas Gump, C. Brian Wainwright, Mediha Ali, Charmaine Lindley, Janessa Ingram, Benjamin Gibbs, Colleen Lamarre, Nancy Fischer, Matt Rabinowitz and Michael Sibarium.
