A Pillsbury team led by Riaz Karamali in Silicon Valley represented Global Equipment Services Holdings Inc., Global Equipment Services and Manufacturing and its subsidiaries in their $50 million acquisition by Kimball Electronics Inc. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of Kimball’s fiscal year 2019.

GES, headquartered in San Jose, specializes in production processing and test equipment design, volume manufacturing, and global services for the semiconductor and electronics product manufacturing industry.  GES has significant business operations in China, India, Japan, the U.S., and Vietnam.

In addition to Karamali, the Pillsbury team included Nancy Fischer, Howard Clemons, Laura Watts, Omar Bailony, Anna He, Julian Zou, Colleen Lamarre, Matt Rabinowitz and Kate Nyce. Zou of the firm’s China practice group handled the China aspects as the firm worked with local counsel in Vietnam, India and Japan.
