Kirsten C. Jackson, a complex commercial litigator who represents policyholders in a wide range of insurance recovery matters, has joined Pillsbury’s nationally ranked Insurance Recovery & Advisory practice as a partner in Los Angeles. Jackson, who is recognized as a “Next Generation Partner” in the Legal 500:US guide and was named a 2023 Law360 Insurance Rising Star, comes to the firm from Latham & Watkins.

“Commercial coverage disputes are surging, and our Insurance Recovery & Advisory team is widely recognized as one of the foremost law firms advising policyholders on these intricate, high-stakes cases,” said Firm Chair David Dekker. “Kirsten brings deep experience as a commercial litigator and has a strong focus on insurance matters. Her addition in Los Angeles expands our team and enhances our ability to provide sophisticated advocacy and strategic counsel to clients navigating these complex disputes, no matter the industry.”

Jackson has a proven track record of securing multimillion-dollar awards and settlements for policyholders across a broad spectrum of insurance cases, including business interruption, commercial general liability, cyber liability, directors and officers liability, professional liability, property insurance and reinsurance. She has advised leading companies in the health care, technology, manufacturing, chemical, energy, entertainment, consumer products, pharmaceutical and telecommunications sectors, as well as major hedge funds, private equity firms, commercial banks, real estate developers and investors, regulated utilities and individuals.

In addition to recognitions from Legal 500 and Law360, Jackson was named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Leaders of Influence: Litigators & Trial Attorneys 2025 list, which acknowledges her exceptional skill and dedication in advocating for clients before judges and juries.

“Pillsbury’s Litigation practice has built a strong reputation for handling some of the most challenging and consequential disputes our clients confront, and the sustained growth of our platform reflects that demand,” said Deborah Baum, Pillsbury’s Global Head of Litigation. “Kirsten’s arrival continues that momentum, adding invaluable trial experience to our team while concurrently strengthening our strong insurance policyholder capabilities.”
