A Pillsbury team that included partners Ron Fleming and Benjamin Dean, counsel Taylor O’Toole, senior associate Alec Saccogna and associate Gabby Regard represented Basepath Health in connection with its partnership with Children’s Mercy Partners to establish a next-generation, scalable model for delivering life-changing treatments across multiple disease states and care settings.
As part of the partnership, the parties entered into a Master Project Development, Software Subscription and Services Agreement, and Children’s Mercy acquired a warrant to purchase common stock of Basepath Health.
With demand rising and more therapies expected in the years ahead, the collaboration is intended to support Children's Mercy's capacity to deliver highly specialized treatments and accelerate the pace at which patients can receive care, with a goal of outpacing providers across the Midwest and the nation.
Through the partnership, Children’s Mercy will lead clinical care delivery, while Basepath Health, an AI-native operating platform for advanced therapies that combines intelligent workflows and longitudinal patient navigation, enables a next-generation operating model that streamlines complex, time-sensitive care pathways across pre-treatment, treatment and post-treatment phases.
The collaboration is designed to reduce administrative and operational burden on clinical teams, allowing physicians and caregivers to focus on delivering care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
