Led by Energy & Infrastructure Projects global co-leader Mona Dajani, a team of Pillsbury lawyers is representing leading energy infrastructure company TC Energy, a North American energy infrastructure company, with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries, in a strategic deal with Nikola Corporation, a global leader in zero-emissions transportation and energy infrastructure solutions.

Together, both companies are evaluating opportunities to develop and operate clean hydrogen production hubs centered around TC Energy’s existing pipeline and electrical infrastructure to deliver low-cost and low-carbon hydrogen at scale, to facilitate the adoption of heavy-duty zero-emission fuel-cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) and hydrogen across various industrial sectors. A key objective of the collaboration is to produce 150 tonnes or more of hydrogen per day near strategically located hydrogen supply hubs near highly traveled truck corridors, which will serve Nikola’s growing need for hydrogen to fuel its Class 8 FCEVs within the next five years.
