OpenText, a global leader in Enterprise Information Management (EIM), today announced that Pillsbury was among the winners of its 2019 OpenText Elite™ Customer of the Year Awards. The awards were presented on July 11, 2019.

The OpenText Elite Customer Awards, presented annually at OpenText Enterprise World, recognize organizations like Pillsbury that have delivered innovative solutions to accelerate business processes, transform information management, maximize data and digital insights, and simplify supply chain challenges.

OpenText is honored to recognize our customers who are leading their industries in digital transformation with OpenText solutions,” said Mark J. Barrenechea, OpenText CEO & CTO. "Elite Customer Award winners are creating lastly change with new business models with Enterprise Information Management. Congratulations to all our 2019 Customer Award winners."

Pillsbury teamed up with OpenText in December 2018 to become the first law firm to deploy OpenText Magellan, OpenText’s AI-enabled analytics platform. Pillsbury will leverage Magellan to deliver expanded automation and artificial intelligence enhancements to the firm’s global legal practice.

Magellan complements Pillsbury’s existing OpenText Axcelerate Cloud deployment and will deliver extended machine learning abilities beyond traditional eDiscovery—enabling Pillsbury’s attorneys to interact with large data collections in new ways that will make it easier to understand and present legal case narratives and to unearth investigatory facts.

“We are building intelligent tools with Magellan to make our legal teams even more efficient and effective, with automated document summaries and chronologies, instant sentiment analysis and AI-enabled privilege detection already on the way,” said Pillsbury litigation partner, David L. Stanton. “Our overriding goal at Pillsbury is exceptional client service, and this investment will help us deliver on that promise while keeping our clients’ costs down.”
