Following the closing of its $200 million Series F growth equity round in November 2023, American aerospace and defense technology company Shield AI expanded its funding round with an additional $300 million in equity and debt.

With its total raised funds reaching $500 million, Shield AI’s valuation has now been raised to $2.8 billion.

Due to advances in AI and computing, the company utilizes the new technology to further develop its flagship product Hivemind, an AI pilot that enables teams of intelligent aircraft to operate autonomously. According to a company press release, Shield AI has accumulated more autonomous flight hours executing fighter jet maneuvers, like dogfighting, than any company in the world.
