Pillsbury has selected New York-based Corporate partner Veronica Nunn as its 2022 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow.

To be considered for this fellowship, candidates must have eight years of practice experience, demonstrate leadership skills, engage within their community, commit to diversity and inclusion, and be an impact player within the organization.

Additionally, the firm has chosen Corporate associate Juan Pablo Cordon to be a member of the LCLD Pathfinders program for the class of 2022. The Pathfinders program is offered to diverse, early-career attorneys and presents critical career development strategies such as leadership and professional networking.

Components of the Fellows program include participating in interactive professional development events, attending meetings to hone leadership skills such as executive presence, and networking with preeminent leaders in the legal field. Pathfinders work in collaborative peer circles, investigate career-building practices, and participate in workshops led by industry-leading experts.

“Veronica and JP are recognized as high-performing attorneys within Pillsbury, are terrific colleagues, and both show the core skills necessary to progress into leadership roles” said Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Stacie Yee. “As an LCLD Fellows alum myself, I know firsthand how impactful this program is on participants, and I am thrilled for Veronica and JP to participate.”

Nunn represents public and private companies and private equity sponsors in complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, investments, joint ventures and reorganizations.

Cordon’s practice spans various industries, with a focus on the technology, financial services, life sciences and manufacturing sectors. He advises targets and acquirors in connection with mergers and acquisitions as well as investors with respect to equity investments and exit options.

Founded in 2009, the LCLD has grown to an organization of more than 400 members who serve as either general counsel of major corporations or managing partners of the nation's leading law firms. To learn more about LCLD and its programs, visit www.lcldnet.org.
