Miles Mason advises television and radio broadcasters, banks and investors, and others in the media and technology space on a wide range of transactional, regulatory and policy issues.
Miles assists his clients in drafting, negotiating and structuring complex mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, programming agreements, services agreements, cable and satellite carriage and other distribution agreements, as well as tower, studio and equipment leases and other operational agreements. He represents broadcasters before the FCC on compliance, enforcement, investigations, rulemakings and adjudicatory proceedings, and has guided his clients through the transition to the ATSC 3.0 (NextGenTV) television standard. Miles also advises lenders and equity investors on a variety of FCC regulatory issues. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner in the Washington, DC, communications firm of Fisher Wayland Cooper Leader & Zaragoza, which merged with Shaw Pittman in 2000.

- Represented a national broadcaster in negotiations with the FCC resolving investigations through a consent decree and compliance plan.
- Represented a national broadcaster in strategic analysis and FCC regulatory approvals for television station acquisitions and divestitures, including ownership rule waivers and related transaction filings.

- Represented banks and investors in the restructuring, refinancing and ultimate sale of multiple radio station groups.
