A Team of Pillsbury lawyers advised Sojitz Corp. and Green Tec Corp. in forming a partnership to acquire Stratosphere Quality LLC. While financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, Sojitz will be the majority shareholder with about 65 percent of management rights and Green Tec will hold the remaining rights, according to Daily Journal.

Green Tec and Stratosphere Quality both provide quality assurance services for the automotive and auto part industries. Sojitz, a subsidiary of Sojitz Group, develops trading operations for organizations across the globe. Sojitz and Green Tec plan to use their existing customer networks to expand Stratosphere Quality’s business.

Los Angeles Corporate partner Christopher Patay led the Pillsbury team advising Sojitz and Green Tec.
